How do I add a sub-domain in cPanel?Print

  • 3

To add a subdomain in cPanel, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Navigate to the "Domains" section and click on the "Subdomains" icon.

  3. In the "Create a Subdomain" section, enter the name of the subdomain you want to create in the "Subdomain" field. For example, if you want to create a subdomain named "blog" for the domain "yourdomain.com", you would enter "blog" in the "Subdomain" field.

  4. The "Document Root" field will automatically populate based on the subdomain name you entered. If you want to use a different document root, you can edit this field.

  5. Click the "Create" button to create the subdomain.

  6. You should now see the newly created subdomain listed under the "Subdomains" section in cPanel.

  7. If you want to upload content to the subdomain, you can either use the cPanel File Manager or an FTP client to upload your files to the subdomain's document root.

That's it! You have successfully added a subdomain in cPanel
